Dear SOIFO Family and Friends,

On this blessed day, October 09, 2025, we’re excited to share a powerful update to our platform, SOIFO – Salvation’s Opportunity Is Finally Open, as we pursue our mission to “make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19-20). To better equip you to serve in this global call to spread the Gospel, we’ve introduced an expanded Church Role feature on your SOIFO profile. This new dropdown menu offers 32 unique roles, replacing the previous three options (Pastor, Member, Volunteer), to reflect the diverse ways you can contribute to God’s work through our 30 biblically grounded ministries. Whether you’re in Tanzania, Brazil, or anywhere in between, your role in SOIFO is vital to preaching the Gospel to all creation (Mark 16:15). Let’s explore why these roles matter, what they are, and how you can choose yours to join this eternal mission!

Why Expand Church Roles?

At SOIFO, we believe every believer has a unique calling in the Body of Christ, as Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 12:4-7: “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.” Our original three roles—Pastor, Member, Volunteer—were a great start, but they didn’t fully capture the rich variety of ways you can serve in our 30 ministries, from Gospel Preaching to Youth and Children’s Ministry. The expanded Church Role options allow you to:

  • Express Your Calling: Identify with a specific role, like Worship Leader or Prayer Intercessor, that matches your gifts and passion.

  • Support Our Mission: Contribute to SOIFO’s goal of preaching the Gospel to every nation, tribe, and tongue (Revelation 7:9).

  • Enhance Community: Connect with others in similar roles (e.g., all Evangelists in Tanzania) for collaboration and encouragement.

  • Track Impact: Help us measure growth (e.g., how many Youth Leaders in SOIFO Tanzania Branch 1) to plan revivals, outreaches, and more (Acts 2:47 – “The Lord added daily”).

  • Fulfill Biblical Roles: Reflect the diversity of ministry roles, from pastors to teachers to deacons, as seen in Ephesians 4:11-12.

This update empowers you to take an active part in our global movement, whether you’re leading a church in Dar es Salaam or praying for the persecuted in the Middle East.

Why Your Church Role Matters

Choosing a Church Role on your SOIFO profile does more than just describe your involvement—it’s a step toward fulfilling the Great Commission. Here’s why it’s important:

  • Personal Calling: Your role (e.g., Prayer Intercessor or Youth Leader) aligns with your God-given gifts, empowering you to serve with purpose (Ephesians 4:11-12).

  • Community Impact: Roles connect you with others in your ministry (e.g., all Worship Leaders in SOIFO Tanzania), fostering collaboration and encouragement.

  • Global Mission: Your role contributes to SOIFO’s goal of preaching to all nations, whether through local outreach (e.g., Helping the Needy in Dar es Salaam) or global efforts (e.g., translating sermons via Cultural Liaison).

  • Tracking Growth: Roles help us measure our impact, like counting Evangelists in Tanzania to plan crusades (Acts 2:47 – “The Lord added daily”).

  • Spiritual Accountability: Declaring a role commits you to serve faithfully, reflecting Luke 16:10: “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.”

How Church Roles Support SOIFO’s Mission

The 30 Church Roles align with our 30 ministries, ensuring every aspect of gospel preaching is covered:

  • Evangelism: Evangelists and Missionaries lead outreach, sharing the Gospel in cities and villages (Mark 16:15).

  • Discipleship: Teachers and Small Group Leaders equip believers through Bible studies (Matthew 28:20).

  • Worship: Worship Leaders and Creative Artists inspire adoration (John 4:23-24).

  • Service: Outreach Workers and Disaster Relief Volunteers show Christ’s love through aid (Matthew 25:40).

  • Leadership: Pastors and Administrators ensure orderly ministry (1 Corinthians 14:40).

For example, in Tanzania, a Youth Leader might organize a camp for SOIFO Tanzania Branch 1 (Location Details: “City: Dar es Salaam”), while a Prayer Intercessor leads vigils for revival. Globally, a Media Specialist could livestream sermons to reach remote areas, fulfilling Matthew 5:16: “Let your light shine.”
